Welcome to Cox Cues!  I started making cues just a few years ago, but I have been playing for many years.  Over the years I developed a fascination and appreciation for a beautiful and solid hitting cue.  I tried them all and especially appreciated the Scruggs cue I played with for over 10 years.  It was the solid hit of the Scruggs I have tried to emulate as a cue maker.

On this site you will find a gallery showing several cues I have made to date.  Please note the design of the inlays.  I am somewhat restricted in this capacity since I use a pantograph with a certain number of design patterns.  I do have a large number of wood choices for the cue and rings, as well as many selections of Irish linen or leather wraps.   One way or another, we can design a cue that is sure to be attractive and possesses great playing characteristics.  And since I only make about 30 custom cues a year, it is extremely unlikely you will see another cue just like yours.

Thus far, a great many of my customers have been "A" players, which I take as a great compliment.   Part of this is due to my acquaintance of these players from playing in tournaments and leagues.  The other part is due to their desire for a good looking and good playing cue at a reasonable cost.  Since I am not dependent on the income off my cue sales, my cues tend to be priced substantially under the big boys'.  And customer feedback has been extremely complimentary.  If you would like to talk to a current customer, I can provide you with the necessary information.

Cue prices range from $150 for a sneaky peete to $2,000 for a custom cue with a great deal of ivory and 2 predator shafts.  A birdseye maple custom cue with 4 ebony points and ebony butt, Irish linen wrap, 3 check rings and two regular shafts will come in just under $450.   Add 8 ivory inlays for $200 more.  This should give you a fairly good idea of pricing, but I can give you more specific pricing information if you want to call me and discuss your design ideas.

I look forward to hearing from you and thanks for considering a Cox Cue.
